On the weekend of 28–29 June, we participated in the 31st Regional Livestock Exhibition and Agricultural Advisory Days in Szepietowo, organised by the Podlasie Agricultural Advisory Centre.
As part of the LIFEkulikPL project, we are encouraging farmers to apply for subsidies under the agri-environment-climate (AECS) scheme (RDP 2023–2027). During the exhibition, we took the opportunity to promote payments for the protection of curlew breeding habitats through a dedicated AECS variant, at the information stands of the National Agri-Environmental Advisory Centre and the Provincial Horse Breeders’ Association.
We are working closely with the Podlasie Agricultural Advisory Centre in Szepietowo, whose advisors have already persuaded more than 20 individuals to take advantage of this support!
The Szepietowo exhibition is a major event for Podlasie’s farming community, featuring around 300 companies and 500 exhibition stands! It attracted enormous crowds—an estimated 90,000 visitors viewed agricultural machinery, demonstrations of new farming technologies, and animals, including horses and pedigree rabbits—nearly 600 animals in total.
We presented two Polish Konik horses from our breeding programme: Wydmuszka and Bogna X. Wydmuszka won third place in her category and returned to her home pasture with a medal.
